Léa Fabre-Fiorio
Léa Fabre Fiorio (b. 1991, Saint-Saulve, France) is a ceramic artist based in Brussels. She has developed a distinctive artistic approach, characterized by an instinctive and sensitive exploration of materials, where clay becomes a medium for creating organic sculptures that embody the duality of strength and fragility.
Her work draws inspiration from the untamed landscapes of southern Spain, especially the Cabo de Gata natural reserve. These raw, untouched environments provide a powerful source of creative energy, reflected in her sculptures that evoke the forces of nature with both solid and delicate forms.
In addition to nature, the human body serves as a central influence in her practice. Shapes, colors, and movements derived from the human form infuse her work with a sense of fluidity and connection, creating a dialogue between natural forces and human emotions.
Léa Fabre Fiorio’s artistic practice captures a harmonious balance between the enduring and the ephemeral, offering a poetic reflection on the relationships between humans, nature, and the passage of time. Her sculptures invite the viewer to experience this intersection of natural power and human sensitivity, expressed through the language of clay.
