Chidy Wayne, based in Barcelona originally known for his illustration work, has become a renowned artist. His creations, marked by elegant minimalism and bold gestural qualities, transcend commercial art boundaries and delve into the very essence of drawing. Wayne's work is a unique blend of avant-garde influences and ancestral cultural elements, imbuing his art with a captivating primitive allure while reflecting the spirit of contemporary urban life. Wayne has developed a personal lexicon of symbols and motifs, each rich with deep meaning, addressing universal and timeless themes such as existence, identity, and inner conflict. While his art is not devoid of figuration, it focuses on hands as symbols of conflict and power, showcasing his refined skills hone dover years as an illustrator and teacher. With unwavering confidence and boundless energy, he translates his vision into large canvases and paper, engaging in an intimate journey of personal expression.

Juliette Lemontey, based in Arles, transforms old sheets and fabrics into evocative art works that explore presence, absence, and the passage of time. Her pieces, featured in the"Art on Paper Brussels" exhibition, showcase a delicate interplay between the ephemeral beauty of the body and the timeless quality of recycled materials. Each work invites viewers into a poetic realm where simplicity reveals profound depth, offering a fresh perspective on rest, reflection, and human intimacy.

Mattia Listowski, a French sculptor born in Paris and based in Brussels, combines concrete sculpture with medium-format silver-chamber photography. His work explores our symbolic relationship with memory and space, merging architectural forms with a conceptual and craft-based approach. Listowski's innovative practice reveals the tension between the ephemerality of light and the permanence of stone, offering a unique perspective on our connection to both personal and collective memory.

Silvia De Marchi, based in Italy, is a painter renowned for her innovative approach to paper art. For"Art on Paper Brussels", she presents works that begin with large sheets of Fabriano paper painted with mixed media inks, including iron and silver powders. Exposed to natural elements, these papers undergo a transformative process, resulting in textured, imperfect surfaces. De Marchi then tears and reassembles the paper into multilayered compositions that explore themes of presence, absence, and the ephemeral nature of existence. Her work invites viewers to reflect on the beauty of imperfection and the transient quality of materials.

Jamie Mills, based inCornwall, will present paper works at “Art On Paper Brussels” that reflect his delicate and minimalist style. His pieces, often created from reclaimed natural materials, are characterized by subtle assemblies of layered paper, stitched and carefully constructed. These works play with texture and the simplicity of the medium, resulting in refined compositions in neutral tones. The treat ment of the surface featuring folds, visible stitching, and gentle line evokes internal landscapes where abstraction meets the concrete, inviting a meditative visual and tactile experience.
